INRO – Petit modèle avec chidori en vol et tortues Minogame

Petit Inro en laque du Japon urushi, ouvrant par 4 compartiments. Joli décor à l’or, en laque Takamaki-e de chidori en vol au dessus des flots d’une face et de tortues Minogame près de rochers sur l’autre face. Ce décor est issu du 266e poèmes de Man’ Yoshu, Collection des dix milles feuilles, datant de 760 ap JC, le plus ancien recueil de poèmes japonais. Il s’agit très certainement du lac Biwa, autrefois appelé Omi. Incrustations de nacre, sur un fond noir mat Roiro. Intérieur en laque noir. Hauteur : 5,7 cm. Japon Edo (1603-1868) fin du XVIIIe siècle. Signé : Kajikawa. Retenu par un cordon de soie de belle facture, maintenu fermé par un Ojime en fer décoré à l’or de rinceaux et chrysanthème. A small japanese lacquer 4 cases Inro. Gold Takamaki-e lacquer and mother-of-pearl inlaid of ringed plovers over waves on a black ground. Black lacquer inside. The lyrical motif of a flock of ringed plovers flying above evening-tinged waves and rocks – Yunami Chidori if first encountered in the 266 poem from the Man’ Yoshu, Collection of Ten Thousand Leaves, compiled c.760, the earliest japanese anthology of poetry. Its setting is Lake Biwa, at that time known as the Omi Sea, the viewer becomes melancholy on catching sight of the flock of birds piping in flight above the waves and recalls earlier better times.
