NETSUKE en bois finement sculpté, représentant le Shishimaï assis, déguisé et ajustant son masque. Le Shishimaï ou la danse du lion est un sujet amusant lié aux fêtes traditionnelles au Japon. On suppose qu’il y avait une tête d’un matériau différent, peut-être en ivoire, à l’intérieur du netsuke en bois. Japon EDO – XIXe siècle.
